I’ve been building things on computers since before I knew it could be a career. Software, tooling, hardware, it never mattered what. The act of creating something from nothing is the only work that’s ever made me feel like I’m not working. JJH Digital came out of that impulse, plus the realization that agencies were charging five figures for templated GoDaddy sites and calling it custom work. I knew I could do better, and the work would actually be fun.

The model is simple. I build custom web applications from scratch using modern frameworks: TypeScript, React, Next.js. When the project is done, you own the code. Not a license, not a managed dependency on my infrastructure. The actual source code. You’re free to take it in any direction, with or without me.

The work ranges from marketing sites to full-stack platforms with authentication, databases, CMS integration, payment processing, and AI features baked in. Most clients are startups or growing businesses that need something real built but don’t have the budget or patience for a traditional agency engagement.

More recently, the consulting side has expanded into AI integration. Helping businesses figure out where LLMs, automation, and intelligent tooling actually fit into their stack versus where it’s just noise. That’s the work I find most interesting and where I think the consultancy is heading.
